So we’ve finally done it! Our plane tickets are booked and we are leaving America on the 20th December!
But first we are making a quick stop in New York to say goodbye to a good friend over there. I am extremely exited but also very nervous. Flying has never been my fortay. It scares the living heck out of me. That being said, let’s continue on with another topic.
PETA (The People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have gotten another stick up their bums. It seems that they’ve sank to a new all time low in grasping for media attention in accusing Nintendo’s beloved mascot Mario for wearing a dead animal.
If PETA, who kills more animals then they save, have an issue with video game characters becoming another creature (in this case, a raccoon that flies non the less), then they have made it clear that they do not know the difference between reality and fantasy. People like that we usually just throw into a mental institution, put on a “I hug myself” jacket and throw away the key.
They claim that it sends out the wrong message.
Honestly, even children know that you cannot fly by putting a raccoon tail on your bum. It is the same issue where the gaming industry seems to be a repetitive victim of crazy people blaming them for raising their children the wrong way. That a game containing guns and violence will create violent people.
It is so easy to blame a game, rather then your own failure as a parent. I also dislike when people do not give children enough credit for knowing the difference between reality and fantasy. Something that PETA fails to do.
“Tanukis are real-life raccoon dogs who are beaten and, as PETA’s undercover exposés show, often skinned alive for their fur,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman.
It is terrible that it happens, but to blame a game for inspiring such behavior is ludicrous. You know what inspires violence, wars and skinning? MONEY! Go after the people who make money of real war and contributing to real world issues.
Thank you Kotaku for bringing this to our attention.
On that note, I’ll leave you with the latest Shawn Boyd Mix tape cover designed by yours truly!
Wanna hear a joke? PETA! ^_^
you better keep up on this blog after you move Anna!
You know it brotha!
